Life is forever changing & you just don’t know what it’s going to bring. Kids grow up super fast before your eyes (don’t I know it!), & a loved one can be cruelly taken away unexpectedly.
It’s so important to remember to document our lives so we can share our memories with our nearest & dearest & show your images on your walls at home.
I love getting together with families for a shoot. I try really hard to ensure that it isn’t boring – after all, who wants to be smiling stiffly into a camera? We’ll make some fun of it, go for a walk… jump on the tramp… hang out at home… just you being you. We’ll get a few snaps of everyone looking at the camera because lets be honest, those are the ones that Grandma is going to love, but personally I know the images I love of my family are the ones where we are laughing, tickling, & running around… the ones showing genuine emotions.
Session fee’s are $150 for a 1hr shoot, this covers my time during the shoot, any consultation beforehand & any location scouting. The purchase of digital files, prints, canvas or albums is additional.
I'd suggest something you feel amazing in! It's all well & good getting dressed to the nines & putting on your sky high heels... but if you aren't feeling comfortable, it shows!
If you are being photographed with other people, try & choose complementary colours... you don't want to look exactly the same as each other (i.e. all white tops & all in jeans) as that can look too matchy matchy. Layering & patterns work well too... but please, stay away from brands or logos emblazoned all over your clothing... it's distracting to the eye.
I'd suggest checking out Pinterest!
